Lonavala, Maharashtra

The 2’am Party Scene: Lonavala

It is correctly said: “Don’t listen to what they say, Go See” – Chinese Proverb

Sometimes we make travel plans which are hard to start but will pour your heart into the sea of nostalgia when you sit back, relax and think of the moment spent with some of the best colleagues or friends which you have met by chance.

Here is yet another cool experience that was finalized after a long planning and discussion, The Lonavala Tour. Lonavala is a hill station in the state of Maharashtra and about 64 km from Pune City, which is also called as the Oxford of India, as it is a hub for engineering, management and medical aspirants to enroll themselves in some of the best colleges. Yeah, I am speaking a lot about Pune here and the reason is even I did my engineering from this city.

Planning a Trip:

It was a hot summer in Ahmedabad when everyone was quenching their thirst by drinking enough water due to the temperature and humidity which was making the surrounding uneasy for everyone. At the same time, we, the bachelor group were lazing around on our sofa with our casual discussions on different topics, making the other look so intelligent as it seems we have done a Ph.D. On every topic, though none was a Ph.D. holder.

So, we came up with a plan and decided that we all will take a car and start our journey from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, then to Lonavala, and finally to Pune before coming back to Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad to Pune distance is around 657 Km on Google Maps. Let’s see here how our planning took a twist and the hotspots to visit in Lonavala, the late-night party up above the hill, and some places in Mumbai (commercial capital of India).

Why choosing Lonavala?

Lonavala is one of the best travel destinations if you are in Mumbai or nearby areas. The hilltop, greenery, and the crowd will always amaze anyone whoever visits this place. I have traveled to Lonavala twice or thrice when I was in Pune during my engineering days a few years back, but most of my friends living in Ahmedabad haven’t gone to this place. So, we decided to travel to this hotspot in Maharashtra to see what amazing adventures we can do here. The journey started as per planning and by late-night, we started our trip so that by the next morning we can cover the 657 km of this trip and finally reach our hotspot.

The twist?

We all know that everything doesn’t go with the plans and there comes a point where you will be accompanied by a twist which will create a barrier in the path of the journey. After the overnight long drive, we all were tired and haven’t seen any rain till the morning before crossing the border of Gujrat but what surprised us more was the heavy rain which was suddenly started when we crossed the Maharashtra border.

As per the planning, we have to reach Lonavala via Mumbai early in the morning but the heavy rainfall made us take a halt at many points as the whole Mumbai was under heavy rainfall and alert were given on the radio about the rise in the water-level. Somehow, we managed to reach Lonavala after getting delayed by 4-5 hours. It was planned that we will be spending a short time at the hill station, will see the surrounding beauty of nature there, and will move to Pune, but the delay in timings made us cancel the plan of Pune.

Where We Stayed?

At this time, we haven’t booked a room in Lonavala but it was getting late due to rain and long queue in the traffic, so we stayed at the nearby hotel, named as,

Woodland Hotel- Darossaqalain Trust-Lonavala, which is an old-styled hotel but the important thing is liquor is prohibited there and we don’t drink, so for us, there’s no problem. If anyone of you is looking to book a stay here at an affordable rate, just message me, I’ll give the number of the person to contact. It is a big, peaceful place with a big garden; we did many photo sessions here also. It was uploaded on google maps also.

As it was getting late, the hotel staff guided us to visit places in the morning. But we took some time and thinking of what to do and someone among us told us about the late-night or the 2’am party which bachelors do on the top of the hill-side. Most of the college students who come to Lonavala from Pune to enjoy are not fully aware of this party-time.

It was a great moment to cherish the journey with amazing friends as we took our car, and the best driver among us took charge of the steering’s and we said, Let’s Go!!

With hukkah, and all the foodstuffs we move up the hill and found a bachelor with their loud music volumes in their cars dancing, cherishing the moment, someone preparing barbeque for their group, some eating the mouth-watering Maggie, others smoking and drinking. The fun doubles when you enjoy the things under the slow drizzle when each drop of rain rolls over your body and energizes you, giving a sense of peace. Don’t forget to taste the famous Lonavala Chikki.

It was an extreme level of fun, the heavy rain has started once again, our hukkah was still lit-up.

The next day, early morning we covered the remaining hotspot of Lonavala and then started moving to Mumbai, again stuck in a heavy Mumbai traffic.

Here are the places to enjoy in Lonavala:

  • The Tiger Point
  • The Bhushi Dam
  • Lonavala Lake
  • Ambey Valley
  • Karla caves and Bhaja caves
  • Celebrity Wax Museum, to name a few.

Finally, we decided to end our Lonavala journey and while returning to Ahmedabad via Mumbai route, we thought of visiting the Haji Ali Dargah, The Gateway of India, Marine Drive, and Band-Stand to enjoy the calm Arabian sea waves.

I have many places to travel in my bucket-list. I always try to travel to those places where I can have the maximum fun with a low budget, which comes between Rs. 5,000 to Rs.10,000 per Head, and traveling to any location with a low-budget means, you have to increase the number of travelers, not the budget. I did the same. Yahoo!!

Well, I enjoyed it a lot during this journey and now I am planning to visit Kerala after some time, which is another famous tourist destination in India.

Mukteshwar Hills, Nainital

Exploring the Lush Green Hills of Mukteshwar and Recovering from the Mental Stress

IMG-20190715-WA0034Mountain View

Everyone likes to explore the beautiful places in the world once in a lifetime. The natural views or landscapes can sometimes become the reason for anyone to find mental peace and get the mind, body, and soul rejuvenated.

Most of us have that inbuilt craving or adrenaline rush to explore the places we see on television or through some info from people who recalls their traveling experiences. The amazingly captured videos from the top bloggers give us an insight into what these places have to offer or how we can plan to travel these places on a budget that our pocket allows. My travel experience was a bit different this time as I haven’t heard the name of this place before, Mukteshwar Hills – Uttrakhand, which means it was again an instant plan for me.

A Sudden Plan:

Since the day my beautiful mom has left me and went to a different world, I was broken. After a few months, I somehow managed to build some confidence in me and checked the nearby place where I can visit the exhibition to get back to work. For everyone, there is an advantage of visiting trade, fairs, or exhibitions that it helps you in gaining knowledge of different new products in the market and to get interacted with various peoples from different background. So, I found an exhibition which was scheduled to be held in New Delhi, the Capital city of India in the coming days.

Being a Chemical Engineer and working in a different organization, now I want to travel, interact with different people, work on different products and to try new business as an independent guy to live a happy life. So, I booked tickets and visited the exhibition, interacted with various companies, learned many things. But at the same time, I thought of visiting my friend who works in New Delhi in some IT-based firm. It was then we made a plan to go to any hill station nearby Nainital.

We checked out some good places on the internet, invited a few more friends to accompany us, which they accepted. What next? We hired a travel guy, discussed the Car rent from New Delhi to Mukteshwar Village, and asked him to come at the pick-up point at the specified time.

About Mukteshwar:

Mukteshwar is a village in the Nainital district of Uttrakhand. It is a tourist destination that attracts millions of tourists every year who witness different weather conditions, each having its fun. The best thing is its 2171 meters high altitude, which rests in the Kumaon hills, allowing the visitors who come from different Indian states to enjoy the mesmerizing views at such a high altitude.

And here the fun begins. After traveling all night, we finally reached Uttarakhand and the aroma of nature was started striking our mind, giving a sense of relaxation and relief.

Meanwhile, we booked 3 rooms for 6 people online and stayed at Shivalaya Homestay. Our stay was not as we planned, power failure, and no-backup sort of situation we faced out there. With a chilling temperature due to rain throughout our journey. I somehow managed to take a bath from the cold water.

We traveled to Mukteshwar in July and at that time, it was heavily raining, but the adrenaline rush made us witness this adventurous journey. If you love snowfall, then winters are the best time to explore this village as it is covered with snow. Mountains are laden with snow makes it super awesome.

The Main Hotspots:

Mukteshwar is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places due to its rich natural waterfalls, amazing weather, and lush green hills. It catches the attention of every individual who visits this place. But it is not very popular like Nainital and Bhimtal. The main hotspots to visit in Mukteshwar are:

  • Chauli ki Jaali
  • Mukteshwar Dham Temple
  • Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple
  • Mountain View
  • Bhalugaad Waterfall
  • Apple Fruit Orchard

All these places will mesmerize your eyes, which will push you to experience the Himalayan mountain ranges.

One can relax his mind, body, and soul when we visit these places which are full of natural beauty.

Now let’s talk about the budget:

From my past experiences, I have observed that the more the number of persons with you, the more chances you get to save an extra buck.

My overall budget came out to be around Rs. 25000/-, which includes, food, total traveling, affordable hotel booking with an offer from the company, and back to New Delhi. As I have mentioned earlier, we were 6 people and the total budget came out to be Rs. 25000/- which is not a bad deal at all.

While returning, we took a halt at Nainital and spent some time at the famous Jheel or Lake of Nainital, had food, and enjoyed by exploring the overcrowded-market near the Nainital Lake.

Booking a cheap and affordable Homestay with some great deals is one of the best idea which I apply most of the time while exploring new places.

It was fun, though! After the journey, we felt a bit tired, but the energy level bounced back when someone from us suggested for a new travel destination. I wish to travel to another amazing destination in the near future.

So, guys, visit this place once in a lifetime. If you have a similar experience where an instant plan was made, do share it with me and connect with me on:

Mount Abu, A Hill Station in Rajasthan

An Instant Trip to Mount Abu, Rajasthan

Writing is just a hobby for many people and putting that hobby into sharing some travel moments is one of the amazing ways to express the joy which is experienced while traveling.
Here is my video which was captured a year back during my journey to the rocky mountain, Mt. Abu, a hill station in the Indian State of Rajasthan. It wasn’t uploaded earlier as I never tried to edit and composed it before but thought of making the best use of quarantine followed by a lockdown at this tough time when the world is fighting covid-19 disease, I thought of giving it a chance.

About this journey:

It was an instant plan when I and my friends were getting bored and thought of going to some nearest hotspot near Gujarat by packing our bags in Ahmedabad. With less money in our pockets, we went on this adventurous journey. Being an overnight journey, we instantly booked a bus at midnight, booked a cheap price home-stay and two others joined, making it a very amazing journey. It was fun to be surrounded by other friends who have a great sense of humor, mine being at the top level.

As we have arrived at Abu Road, we have to wait for another bus who will pick us and drop us at the main bus station at the Mount Abut hill station. Completing an hour’s journey again, our body was already exhausted but we made it to the top of the mountain.

What’s next?
The first and the most important thing to do was to book a vehicle on rent for 4 friends. As per the availability, we took 2 Activas which was in good condition, and also, we have already heard from someone that Activas is the best choice to reach any spot easily as it offers a good mileage with an affordable budget. So, we have submitted our documents and paid the sum to the scooter service guy and traveled to the assigned location where we have booked our stay.
We have been provided with the best home-stay which we could have ever imagined in a low-budget journey. The room has a super security lock powered by GPS technology, and which can be only opened by putting the code which is sent on our registered mobile number on the company’s website.

It was a spacious room with 2 partitions, a kitchen, a bathroom. What surprised us more was the availability of induction cookers and necessary utensils, which helped us in preparing the tea. Thanks to this amazing service provider.

Here is the short clip of our journey, hope you guys will like it. The link is provided below:

What to Explore?

For the first time travelers to Mount Abu, there are many places to visit which can be googled out before making a plan but as I have told it earlier, ours was an instant plan which was made a couple of hours before booking our journey.

This made us strive more as we have to explore many locations by reaching there and taking the help of the locals. We might have left a few places unvisited, but covered most of it, which is given below to make it easier for my readers.

If you have already made a plan to travel to this destination in Rajasthan, i.e., Mt. Abu, then here’s a list of places to explore, these are:

  • Nakki Lake,
  • Hanuman Temple,
  • Honeymoon Point,
  • Dilwara Temple, Must Visit
  • Jain Temple at Achalgarh Fort,
  • Toad Mountain to name a few.

Where to Stay?

We booked a #OYO #Homestay online at a very reasonable price. The more people, the more is the chance of getting an easy contribution.

Let’s Talk About the Budget:

We all know that whatever the plan might be, the first thing comes to mind is the budget, be it traveling to someplace, buying something, or booking a room. Our excitement gives a boost when the journey is both, an amazing and pocket-friendly. So, our total budget from booking a cab to the bus stop, online tickets for 4, to everything we did at Mount Abu, comes to be around Rs.12000/- total.

Guys, most the money is saved when you are a non-alcoholic, and the people accompanying you also comes to be the same. If the same is expected otherwise, then the amount spent will be high. Sounds great!!

So, what are you waiting for? Plan your trip at the only hill station in rajasthan and let me know about a similar experience(s) or an Instant plan which you have made up with your family, friends, or colleagues. Also, wait for my next video or blog.

Suggestions are most welcome.

Start Writing and Build Confidence!

Are you a person with so much to say but unable to get the right platform?

Creativity is something that we all have but finding someone who can unleash your ideas and help you understand the concept of content writing in a better way is difficult. For me, it took a long year (almost my entire life from schooling to graduation), to overcome the fear of writing. Until last year it was 2018 when I googled out for a part-time freelance content writing.

blog icon information internet

But why would I go for a part-time job?

Being a chemical engineer and having 4 years of work exposure in the same field, I found that I have enough time left to invest in doing something creative. Thinking all the time, Content Writing strikes on my mind.

What happened next…

I am not fully aware that what exactly a content writer or a blog writer does or what is a ghostwriting. So, I took a number from google which says, A Content Writer needed. Then what? I just called on the number and told the madam that I am working in a chemical profession and can work as a part-time content writer. She said, I don’t have a requirement of fresher but will let me know whenever the next project arrives. I cut the call and waited for the perfect time.

But, am I a good writer in English?

No, I didn’t believe it. I just gave a try. Back in the days, when I was in High School, my English Teacher scolds me about my poor English. This was the time, I lost my confidence in public speaking. Teachers are the building blocks. I respect them a lot.

So, after a month, I received a Whatsapp message, which says,  Are you the one looking for a content writing job?, I said Yes.

And the journey begins. La la… La la…

I got my first Title which I have to write, I somehow managed to write after getting scolded for the first time. This scolding made me write better content in a more creative way.

I said to me, Jawad, Just Write.

Since then, I have written more than 200 blogs on various topics, be it:

  • Medical, (Highly Sensitive Person for Elaine Aron as a ghostwriter), or Satved (an ayurvedic medicine company)
  • Technical / Non-technical Websites
  • Microtransactions for a Malaysia based gaming company.
  • Souvenir Company
  • 3 Star Hotel Group
  • Import-Export Training Institute
  • Machinery Supplier
  • A Software Company
  • Travels, to name a few.

That’s all for my first ever blog on WordPress.
